Chicken is white meat that is a rich source of proteins, vitamins, fats, anti oxidants and many other nutrients. India has always been renowned for its tasty and spicy chicken dishes like Chicken Biryani or Kadai Chicken or Chiken Tikka, etc. Established in the year 1988, Sauza Hatcheries started its business at Mangalore as a producer and supplier of poultry products. Now, it has expanded its business in three new areas i.e. Puttur, Hassan and Bantwal. Infrastructure
We have robust infrastructure and that is segregated into Breeder Farm, Broiler Farm, Hatchery, Feed Plants and Processing unit.
Our Breeder farm is located at Heddurga Village of Hassan district, which is about 150 kms away from Mangalore. The parent birds are grown under our strict supervision for several activities like feeding, lighting and bio-security, so that we are able to eliminate any feasible defects at primary stages itself. To produce a healthy poultry flock, the breeding process includes careful monitoring of the
parent flocks, screening of eggs, maintaining optimum hatching
conditions and working closely with our customers throughout the
process.
In the year 2002, we also started our Broiler farm and are supplying day old chicks, feed, vaccines and medicines to a number of farmers. Our range of broiler birds are lifted from the integration farms and marketed through our 'Souza Chicken' wholesale and retail chains. In addition, farmers are paid rearing charges which is based on Feed Conversion Ratio (F.C.R.).
Storage & Packaging
We have sufficient storage facility in order to safely store huge stocks of hygienic frozen chicken and other chicken products. All of the products are stored in cold storage unit until they are ready to be dispatched. We also keep our bulk order under best hygienic condition to prevent it from deteriorating. At our storage facility, a perfect temperature is maintained to preserve the freshness, nutrient content and calorific value of our chicken products.
We also have a modern packaging unit that enables us to pack our poultry products in sealed damage free packings, in order to provide original freshness and maximum nutrient value to our chicken products. The packing process is always conducted under a safe and hygienic atmosphere. The product packets are marked with freezing date, expiry date and many other essential details as per the national and international guidelines. Owing to the superior quality packaging of our chicken products, our product range is certified for storage conditions, hygiene conditions and many more.
